Book Study

Please call parish office for information (661) 327-2744

If you don’t already know, parishioners from St. Joseph’s have started a book study group to spend time in fellowship with other lovers of Christ and to grow in faith.

This book club is designed to re-energize our parishioners by providing opportunities for learning, spiritual growth and networking as we each strive to become the best version of ourselves.

Our Book Study Group is ready to start a new book beginning August 22nd.
This Is My Body: A Call to Eucharistic Revival is designed to accompany The National Eucharistic Revival. In this
brief but illuminating text, Bishop Barron offers a threefold analysis of the Eucharist as sacred meal, sacrifice, and Real Presence, helping readers to understand the sacrament of Jesus’ Body and Blood more thoroughly so that they might fall in love with him more completely. You are welcomed to join with other parishioners as we journey to grow in our faith.

Join the Book Study Group on Tuesdays in Room 6 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm.  Contact Nora
661-922-02
22 if you have any questions.

All are welcomed to participate in our events.

Here is what other attendees have said about the book study program.

These times have been very difficult for me due to the Covid Pandemic along with the loss of my husband. Our Book Study group provides for A Catholic Faith Study that brings about shared discussion without pressure to give more than I can handle at this time. I do appreciate my time spent with this group and would highly recommend it to others.

Thank you, EMC

I have been able to read 3-4 spiritual books a year by being part of the group.  The books would stack up and go unread if I were to do it on my own.

I have been part of the Book Study group for over 6 years.  The study group offers me the opportunity to grow spiritually and to learn from the other members of the group who share their insights and experiences.  I learn and grow so much from each book that we read.
