Matrimonial Sacrament/ XV/XVI Registration

Congratulations on deciding to receive your Matrimonial Sacrament through the Catholic Church.

At St. Joseph Church we understand that planning a wedding can be a complex procedure and below you can find information that can guide you in making this process as simple as possible.

Matrimonial Sacrament Requirements:

Call the office and make an appointment. It is recommended that an appointment be made a year in advance to have better opportunity in reserving the desired date. Special circumstances can be discussed directly with the marriage coordinators.
Couples must be married legally through the court before the religious ceremony. If you are not yet married, you can speak to the Pastor and arrange to be legally married the day of your religious ceremony.
Obtain a recent Baptism Certificate (within 6 months). Can be obtained through the Church in which you were baptized. Request a “Baptismal Certificate with Notations” this certificate will include notations pertaining to your completion of First Communion and Confirmation sacraments. If your copy does not include these notations, be sure to obtain recent copies of these proving completion of sacraments.
If you have yet to complete any of the sacraments there is opportunity for enrollment in classes, please speak to the Pastor directly for more information.

Are you thinking of receiving your Matrimonial Sacrament outside of the Frenso Diocese or in your country of origin?

Requirements:

Call parish office and make an appointment with the Pastor. Appointment should be made 6 months in advance to allow for processing.
Obtain recent copies of completed sacraments; Baptism, First Communion and Confirmation.
Provide proof of being legally married.
Name and Address of Catholic church where you wish to receive your Sacrament.
Name of the Pastor officiating the marriage.
Present proof of attending pre-marital classes
Bride and groom must present 2 witnesses each (Cannot be relatives)
Procedure has a cost of $50.00 that can be paid to the Tribunal of the Diocese of Fresno in form of check or money order.
Wedding Anniversary (Vow Renovation 25, 50, 60 or 70 years)
Requirements:
Call parish office and make an appointment.
Provide Marital Sacrament certificate.

Registración para Sacramento Matrimonial

Felicidades por tomar la decisión de recibir su Sacramento Matrimonial a través de la Iglesia Católica. En la Iglesia de San José entendemos que planificar una boda puede ser un procedimiento complejo y a continuación puede encontrar información que pueda guiarlo para hacer este proceso lo más simple posible.

Requisitos para Sacramento Matrimonial:
Llame a la oficina y haga una cita. Se recomienda que se haga una cita con un año de antelación para tener una mejor oportunidad de reservar la fecha deseada. Las circunstancias especiales pueden ser discutidas directamente con los coordinadores del matrimonio.
Las parejas deben casarse legalmente a través de la corte antes de recibir el Sacramento Matrimonial. Si aún no está casado, puede hablar con el Pastor y organizar estar legalmente casado el día de su ceremonia religiosa.

Obtener un Certificado de Bautismo reciente. Se puede obtener por medio de la Iglesia en la que fue bautizado. Por favor solicite un "Certificado de Bautismo con Notaciones" este certificado incluirá notaciones relacionadas con su finalización de los sacramentos de la Primera Comunión y la Confirmación. Si su copia no incluye estas notaciones, asegúrese de obtener copias recientes de estos que demuestren la finalización de los sacramentos.

Si aún no ha completado ninguno de los sacramentos hay oportunidad de inscribirse en las clases, por favor hable con el Pastor directamente para obtener más información.

Requisitos:

La novia y el novio deben presentar 2 testigos cada uno (no pueden ser parientes)
El procedimiento tiene un costo de $50.00 que se puede pagar al Tribunal de la Diócesis de Fresno en forma de cheque o giro postal.
