PROGRAM

St. Joseph’s Kindercatholic has been an established program in the parish since 1970.

We provide religious education for all children ages 3, 4, 5, and 6 years old.   The children are taught of the goodness and love of God.  They are taught how special they are in God’s eyes.  There are lessons on family, church and community, with our main focus being the scripture readings of our weekly Sunday mass.  We teach through prayers, stories, crafts, music, and games.  We work with the fact that, parents are the primary religious educators of the child.   Each month students take home a calendar of the topics and events. Children also bring home craft projects and activity sheets.

Parents are asked to help with various activities and fundraisers. These include a Family Feast for Thanksgiving, two BBQ lunch socials, Bi-monthly bake sales and full participation of our parish fiestas thru our Kinder Corn Dog Food Stand and Game booths.

Kindercatholic has a great staff of volunteer catechists. They spend much time preparing for the lessons. We believe the children learn more by doing projects and activities related to scripture readings. We teach in a positive and fun environment.  We want the children to be part of their church community. Classes will go into Mass for special occasions, like their Lenten offering during Easter and Advent offering during Christmas. We celebrate the Feast of St. Nicholas, perform an Epiphany Musical and take part in our parish fiestas.  We strive to build a foundation for our children’s lifelong religious education.

Our Kindercatholic Program is NOT a Daycare!!!!

We are Always seeking Volunteers as well as New Recruit Catechists!

Session Time

Classes start first Sunday in September and are in session thru mid-May.

Classes meet in the Religious Education Building, Rooms 4 and 5 during the 9am and 11am mass.  

All classes are currently held in English.

Registration Information

Registration is held two times a year.

Winter Session – Sept. thru Jan.

Spring Session – Feb. thru May

Session fee is $25 + $10 material fee.

Full year fee $60  ($10 savings)

ALL CHILDREN MUST BE POTTY TRAINED OR WEAR A PULL UP!
