Letter from the Pastor

Dear Brother and Sisters in Christ,

Jesus, I trust in You!

During these days of Challenge, we all need to make this short prayer our daily prayer.

None of us have ever experience anything like COVID-19 pandemic in our life-time or in the history of the Church. And yet with all of the challenges and trials we are experiencing there is much to be thankful for. The complete shutdown of churches in March 2020 was beyond our imagination the emotional and spiritual damage that has been done is going to be with us for many years to come. As in every time of trial and turmoil, our Catholic Faith compels us to place our trust in Our Lord Jesus. We are the Lord’s and we belong to Him. As Jesus repeatedly appeared and saved the disciples in their fear and desperation, we are also confident that the Lord is with us as we call upon Him. With all the constraints resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, I want to offer a tremendous Thank You to our Lectors, Ministers, Altar Servers, Ushers, Choirs and all the dedicated Volunteers of behind the scene individuals who, Sunday after Sunday, worked to transform our outdoor area into a welcoming outdoor Sanctuary. I am very Grateful for all of you who continued to support St. Joseph church financially, your contributions and donations in this time of crisis are very appreciated. Thank you for your generosity!

This annual report of St. Joseph Church for the Fiscal Year 2020 shows that God is good and His mercy endures forever. While our numbers in every category are lower than previous years, we still have numbers. These numbers represent people. They represent faith. They represent hope. They represent love. These numbers represent the souls who received sacraments even during the pandemic, individuals who received and are receiving religious formation through online classes.

The numbers include the dollars given by You, our parishioners, in love and support of our Parish. This Annual report is only a snapshot, the big picture can be found in the hearts and souls of our Parishioners. God is still with us and He is still longing for souls. Our mission continues like our Patron St. Joseph, in obedience to God’s will with patience, compassion and care.

It is my hope that as you can read this Annual Report of our Parish for the past year that you may see the great things that God has done and continues to do for us and through us. May God goodness and mercy continue to give you hope and strengthen your faith.

Praise the Lord for He is Good and His Mercy Endures Forever!
